Backstop — An App Built for Archery
I looked for an app that could keep up with how seriously I take the sport. Nothing quite fit—so I built it.
After each training block, an AI coaching engine analyses recent sessions—ends, placement patterns and equipment context—and returns a structured report with a performance assessment, trend analysis and drills to work on.
Training data lives in a native SwiftData stack with iCloud sync. Every arrow is stored as a coordinate on the target face and scored against World Archery face geometry.
The app includes a tap-to-score canvas, equipment and sight settings, location-aware sessions, performance statistics, an Archer Rating and a dedicated Parcours mode for 3D courses.
